Dear Parents and Guardians,
As an Early Years provider who takes pride in giving young children and their families a bright and secure start to their learning journey and future, we are committed to always improve the quality of the service we procure. That is why this year, we are introducing a Sports Day to our routines to prepare children further for their preschool lives.
On 4th July, your child/children will be taking part in our new spots event at Central Park (five minutes walk from the nursery), led by Super Star Sports. From 9:30 to 11:30 am. Children who do not attend nursery on the Tuesdays will need to be dropped off between 8:50 and 9:00 am (at the latest) at the nursery on the day and will need to be collected from the park at the end of the event. Your child's room leader will need to be made aware of the collection of your child. Most importantly, please ensure your child has their breakfast at home prior to drop-off as this will not be provided in the nursery.
To allow staff and coaches to easily tell pre-schoolers and toddlers apart, we are asking parents to dress Pre-school children in yellow and toddlers in blue tops; any colour jogging bottoms should be fine. Please ensure your child wears comfortable trainers and some spare clothes. Babies are welcome to wear the same blue colour as Toddlers.
All children will attend the event. However, pre-schoolers and toddlers will take part in games whereas babies will have the opportunity to observe and gain knowledge for next year when they will be able to cope with the activities. Older babies might be encouraged to join in the play. Parents wishing to take part in a race will be able to do so.
Children who are not allowed on media will be given a session in the nursery on Tuesday,27th June in the morning (parents not allowed). Please let us know by Friday 26th May if you would like to change your mind and join your child/children with the larger group on 4th July. Any request placed later than this date will not be considered.
We have been working with Super Star Sports for over four years and believe that they will make the day pleasant and fun for you and your child/children.
